We have added a gallery of photographs to our website. Check it out. Click on the link above. Sleepover - 18th/19th March - See Diary Tuesday 15th March Pack Meeting - moved to Friday 18th March for one week only.

BACK IN 2004: Sausage Sizzle and Indoor Campfire.
Akela will be leading the campfire songs with a possibility of up to 300 Cubs attending this new event. I will need your support as I hope that my voice lasts for the proceedings. Make sure you have booked your place with Kaa or Akela. Only £1 and includes a sizzling sausage and good fun.
Ashford Fire Station was a great success. We joined forces with our Scouts and visited our local Fire Station. The Cubs had a thorough tour and a spectacular demonstration in the yard. Cubs, Scouts and even the Leaders also had the opportunity of using the hoses and spraying in a range of ways!
Archived News:
BUCKMORE PARK - AN ACTION PACKED WEEKEND: July 2004 saw the 7th Cubs and Scouts enjoying a whole weekend of fun, games and challenges. From Climbing the indoor wall to navigating the extremely tricky caves. Kaa being stuck in one section was a highlight - sorry I had to let that one slip in. The youngsters all enjoyed the archery, shooting, problem solving and orienteering. Oh and the glorious mud that everyone seemed to find.
Our Cubs are on the County website: http://www.kentscouts.org.uk/archive/2003/cubs_big_day/Chatham_cubs_on_bench_2.jpg (click to see it) Which Cubs will it be?
thank you Thanks to all our parents and Ton Hire we have been able to make a huge impact upon the hall and outside area.
County Big Day Out - 4th October This was a success and enjoyed by all!!!
St. George's Service, was a great afternoon where the 6th Ashford joined us for a fun afternoon at the Julie Rose Stadium. The Mayor of Ashford and his family joined us for the afternoon. We took part in a range of athletic events as well as team games. The press soaked us up and we got a colour double paged spread in the KM. All the Cubs, Beavers and Scouts enjoyed themselves, as did the Leaders. Fancy sponsoring some extremely successful teams with your company name and details on a new sports kit? Read on and you will know it makes sense. One kit will cover all of our sports areas, along with one football team.
Well done to our two 5-a-side teams who did well in the District tournaments. Our Yellow Team made it through to the District Finals (12th April) and qualified into the semi-finals. They gained overall third from the whole District. Great TEAM work was seen in the final match.
District Cross Country (8th March '03)
Our Cubs ready for the off. The 7th Cubs have won this for the second year on the run. We now have a lovely new trophy to add to the collection. Now some will go on to the next competition stages. Report to follow, by some of the Cubs.
Three of our Cross Country team with the winner's trophy and medals. They all worked really hard on this very cold and wet day. WELL DONE!
The District Swimming Gala: We have won the District Gala for over 6 years running (that is overall winners with a trophy that has stayed with us all that time), as well as winning the relay trophy on top of this for the last two years. Our two teams can 1st and 3rd overall.
It certainly looks good - well it would look even better on all our newspaper photos to have a new kit with your company logo or name on. It is very reasonable to advertise - think of the audiences and how cost effective it is. You can even do it against tax. Go on give Akela a ring or email and see how reasonable it is. You can even have advertising on our web pages.
Some of our Cubs preparing to go climbing and abseiling.
Look below at how much the trauma of abseiling takes out on you - two of Cubs (below) after abseiling.
Cubs work page now active with one of our Cubs' work on there. (Badge work) Site launched in February 2003. |
