Friday 4th June

The Camp starts just before lunchtime on Saturday 29th May and will close at lunchtime on Friday 4th June.

We also have a trip out for the day to Deal as well as visiting the District Cub Camp. We may need parent help with transport.

Our Camp location and our trip venue will not be published on our pages due to security restrictions.

UPDATES:

CUB CAMP UPDATE

Please contact Akela or Kaa if you require any further information, and return the Health Information Form by the 6th April 2004 (late return may mean that your Son/Daughter may not be able to attend the Camp/Holiday). (WE STILL HAVE NOT HAD THEM ALL BACK  YET) Health Information forms will be returned, to you, two weeks before we go so that any additions or alterations can be made.

PAYMENTS:

A Non-returnable deposit of £15 is required by 6th April 2004. The next instalment of £30 is required by 27th April 2004 and the final payment of £35 is required by 18th May 2004. The overall cost is £80 and this includes transport on trips, trip entrance fees, food, resources etc.

Please also note that an adult member of the family must be contactable and available during camp – this is to clarify a few queries on forms as we need a family adult now for any hospital treatment and also if there is a problem at camp or it is called short, any queries then please contact Bagheera or Akela.

The meeting covered equipment, rules, medicines and general questions and information.

I have received most menu questionnaires back. They were due before the Easter break - please send in if not yet sent in, otherwise the responses will be too late.

A code of conduct that will form a contract to camp will be sent home shortly and this is to be signed by each Cub and Parent(s).

A copy of the Kit list is available by clicking here.

We also pointed out that we will need volunteers on the following days:

Wednesday before camp:

As many adults (no children allowed) meet at the hall at 5:30pm to get equipment out and loaded into the removal van.

From 6:30pm at the site to erect tents and unload the removal van.

 Thursday (evening):

Adults may be required to finish off tent erection and building of the site. Flagpoles, fire area, food supplies, kitchen built etc. This will depend on the pogress made on the Wednesday

During Camp:

We need help with transport on Sunday - locally within Ashford.

We also need help with transport on either Tuesday or Wednesday to Deal and back.

The kitchen staff do not need help with cooking or preparation, but if anyone is willing to help with washing up that would be great.
