Cub Scouts are usually eight to ten and a half year old humans (some of ours are from another planet though). They enjoy fun, adventure, challenges and friendship. At the 7th we have five sixes, each guided by an experienced Sixer and a supportive Seconder.

 

We have a great team of Leaders. All of which bring a different skill (and smile) to our Pack. We have Kaa, Bagheera, Rama, Baloo and of course Akela (just to keep them in line - in fact he could write anything as he is also the "Webmaster" - watch out!) J

We are an active Pack and will try out new things and keep the traditional activities and concepts that work. Some Leaders laugh at our ideas, but most watch and admire - some even follow!

We are actively introducing the new Cub Scout Programme at the 7th and our Sixers are playing an even bigger part in the running of the 7th as they have regular meetings with our Leaders.

Cub Scout Promise:

I promise that I will do my best,

  •  Lots of games and fun
  •  Swimming (including our Gala - champions for over 5 years now)
  •  Football (indoor and outdoor)
  •  Tug of War
  •  Athletics
  •  Handball
  •  Snorkelling
  •  Skiing
  •  Aeroball
  •  Archery
  •  Camping
  •  Climbing
  •  Abseiling
  •  Quad biking
  •  Activity weekends
  •  Sleepovers
  •  Trips to ....., well there is too many to list
  •  Activities involving parents, such as going to Buckmore Park or Beetle Drives
  •  Go to Gilwell Fun Days
  •  Take part in the National British Rail Fellowship First Aid Competitions
  •  Attend most District and County events
